Schülerhilfe is the leading provider of after school tutoring to primary and secondary school students in Germany and Austria. Established in 1974, and headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, Schülerhilfe provides small-group tutoring through a network of over 1,000 branches in Germany and Austria.

Schülerhilfe’s core service offering comprises small group tutoring lessons which provide better results at lower cost compared to 1:1 tutoring. Students are predominantly in secondary school, needing help in maths or foreign languages or German.

Fund III, together with a number of underlying Fund III investors, acquired a majority stake in Schülerhilfe in July 2017, partnering with CEO Dieter Werkhausen who also invested into the new structure.
